Default Crash bug when hit in combat

Don't say I have not searched, I have searched google and other engines, and forums for about 2 months now. Memory passes all test. Os/registry well maintained. Well, the logs sum it all up. Not really, but I'm hoping it will for someone.

Things I've done.
-client re dl
-nosound
-a
-ll
dx9 n drivers reinstall/update
format!
Running it high priority
Running it low priority
Running it on just one logical cpu (dual core) have tried both cpu0, cpu1

Memory at address ffffffff could not be read!!!!

Has passed all mem test. Does it with another stick of ram, also still even after the format. The addy could not be read eventually fadded and now I only get the exception c00000096, ONLY! I dunno maybe something fixed the addy not read error, but this 096 is killin meh, like I said, happenes whenever an enemy strikes me in combat. It's not heat, I can sit in a town and chat all day.

Of course ape-net's support, is as fail as the netcode they wrote the game with... :/

If possible try removing your soundcard. If it's built-in to the motherboard. Disable it in the BIOS setup.

If that don't help try changing your graphics card.

-nosound emulates that and I have also tried it in bios. vcard I'm not so sure, but bios settings did not change between when it worked and when it started to phail... Card works good in other game/os, so it must be a prob with GW.

Can't believe I forgot to include specs. Sorry.

Asus Z62F Laptop, core 2 T2300. 512 533hrtz. 128mb 945GM vcard/chipset. Played at 30/40 fps, worked fine a few months, don't know of anything that could have triggered it.... Strange one.

The GMA900 series is infamous for causing problems and being incompatible with Guild Wars. Most people have problems with it, some don't. I'd blame the card though, since it isn't fully supported.

I will check if my old PC has the same video chipset when i get back home and see if i can recreate the crash. You could also try -noshaders or -dx8 if they still work.

see if you can increase it to 128 MB in the BIOS.

The chipset in my old desktop is not exactly the same (910GL). With memory set to 128MB, everything is stable, no crashes in combat.

Graphics probably took a hit though. Still, now you can play the game . Have you tried 128mb without -noshaders?
